DMTF Elects Board of Directors

Leading Technology Standards Body Jump Starts 2007 Fiscal and Membership Year

Portland, Ore. April 4, 2007 The Distributed Management Task Force, Inc. (DMTFÆ), the industry organization leading the development of management standards and integration technology for enterprise and Internet environments, today announced the results of the 2007 elections for its board of directors. The DMTF's 14-member board will take office today, marking the beginning of the organization's 2007 fiscal year.

Every two years, the DMTF holds elections for half of its board of director seats. For 2007, re-elected members include Dell; Fujitsu; Hitachi, Ltd.; HP; Intel; Novell; and Sun Microsystems. They join existing members Broadcom, Cisco, EMC, IBM, Microsoft Corporation, Symantec Corporation and WBEM Solutions.

"The DMTF is happy to have the industry's leading companies as members of our governing body, helping guide the successful development, adoption and interoperability of DMTF management standards and initiatives," said Mike Baskey, chairman, DMTF. "We look forward to continued progress and innovation in the DMTF, enabled by the organization's collaborative environment and the powerful industry support from our board of directors and the rest of the DMTF's nearly 200 member organizations."

The individuals representing the companies on DMTF's board include Uri Elzur of Broadcom; Julie Schott of Cisco; Winston Bumpus of Dell; Wayne Adams of EMC; Hiro Kishimoto of Fujitsu; Nobutoshi Sagawa of Hitachi, Ltd.; Jishnu Mukerji of HP; Mike Baskey of IBM; Kevin Cline of Intel; Josh Cohen of Microsoft Corporation; Larry Russon of Novell; Mark Carlson of Sun Microsystems; Steve Hand of Symantec Corporation; and Jim Davis of WBEM Solutions.
